Since the Hotel Floret is already almost full, we recommend the
Parkhotel
Pruhonice or Hotel
Magnolia, which are within about 5 minutes walk from the
Pruhonice Congress Center. Please use again the on-line reservation
of the TERIS2002 agency, don't register directly
using the specific hotel's registration system.
If the official conference accommodation offer does not satisfy your
expectations or wishes, please feel free to make your own accommodation
arrangements in Prague. In these cases, however, please do not ask for help or
assistance of the conference organizers. Anyhow, we strongly recommend using
the TERIS2002 services, and namely making your
reservations in time!
A limited financial support is available for conference participants
from indigent countries. If you need such a support, please contact us at
ecss2002@chmi.cz.
However, we cannot promise to be able to cover all the requests.
Despite the title and "official scope" of the conference,
participants from other continents are welcome.
On August 21-23, 2002, a short pre-conference "CHMI - Eumetsat Workshop
on Severe Convective Storms" will be organized in Prague.
Participation of about 12 specialists from central and eastern Europe (former
"eastern block" countries) will be supported by EUMETSAT. Official
invitation for this workshop has been sent on January 23rd, 2002 to
headquarters of the national weather services of related countries. Presently,
participation at this workshop is already closed (due to the maximum capacity
of the facility where the workshop will be held).
