This project was active in 2012 and 2013 and funded by the City of Wiener Neustadt. It dealt with the re-investigation of the historical tornado of 1916.

In the following years a number of small follow up projects were initiated by ESSL. One of the highlights was a 100 year rememberance photo exhibition in the City Museum of Wiener Neustadt in June and July 2016.
