The company “ESSL Services GmbH” as part of the “ESSL Group” is a separate legal entity (limited liability company) and a subsidiary of the non-profit ESSL associations. ESSL Services is not represented on and by the ESSL website. It was founded in 2024 to safeguard the non-profit status of the well-established research associations “European Severe Storms Laboratory e.V.” in Germany and “European Severe Storms Laboratory – Science and Training” (hosting the ESSL Testbed and all training activities) in Austria.
